Band 4+: The crime rate, in most countries, is often higher in urban areas than in rural areas. Why do you think that is? What can be done to reduce the crime rate?

It is true that, crime rates has been increasing in urban region than village areas. There are number of reason associated with this trend and some groundbreaking measures that will be applied for addressing this offensive action.

There many reasons why crime rates is enhancing at a significant rate in the metropolitan Zones. One possible reason is overpopulation. Overpopulation has a great contribution to reduce the employment prospects in the society, which is why the people from the urban communities will face challenging situation, unable to meet their daily needs. Therefore, they get involved themselves in an illicit activity to meet their family demands. Another drawback is, easy availability of drug also has a major contribution to increase crime rate in the society. For instance, nowadays a maximum number of young people from metropolitan Zone are drug addicted due to the easy availability of this items, which lead them to commit crimes. For example, nowadays some juveniles from the urban communities have a less contact with their parents due to the busy schedule, therefore they suffer from isolation problem and got drug addicted to deal with the situation.

There are some effective measures that will be applied for mitigate the problems. The best solution possible solution is government advocate program. The government should allocate budget to set up new employment sectors so that the urban communities get their appropriate jobs. As a result, the crime rate will reduce at a significant rate. Secondly, Secondly, the government would organize new campaign to raise public awareness about the detrimental impact of unlawful acts among the society. In addition, the public authority should enforce strict punishments, such as an extremely expensive fee for a criminal case, would discourage people from committing a crime.

To sum up, it is obvious fact that the urban communities are much more connected with numerous criminal activities than in village area due to unemployment and widespread access to drugs while measures should be taken into account to addressing the problem, including, enforcing law, organize campaign.
