In recent years, the difference between countries has become less noticeable. The main reason is that people follow the same tendency, share the same fashions, advertising, brands, and even eating habits. In my opinion, it is largely a negative development, as countries lose their cultural uniqueness.
On the one hand, globalization has many benefits. As global trends spread, individuals become more modern and open-minded. They are open to new ideas, technologies, and skills, which leads to world development. Furthermore, when humans follow the same lifestyle, it makes them accept one another. This can help to reduce misunderstandings and arguments between different nations.
On the other hand, the drawbacks are more significant. Each country has its own history, culture, and way of living. The main problem is that nations lose their individuality, and globalization leads to the loss of cultural identity. For instance, some nations are known for technological progress, while others are popular for their cultural heritage. These differences make the world more interesting and diverce. Moreover, if all people adopt the same lifestyle and values, the world will lose its uniqueness. For example, traditional language and customs could disappear, which might make our planet boring.
In conclusion, I suppose that the benefits of countries being similar to each other do not outweigh the drawbacks because it leads to the loss of cultural differences.
