Band 6+: The government should control the amount of violence in films and on television in order to decrease the level of violent crimes in society.Do you agree or disagree

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Generally speaking, the question of whether government should regulate violent content in films and television is a controversial subject. While some argue that such control is essential to reduce harmful behavior in society, Others believe that it limits the rights to express their ideas freely. They also believe that it is the responsibility of the viewers or their guardian to decide what to watch and not the governments. In my opinion, moderate administration regulation is nessary to protect the public, especially young audiences, without restricting their creativity.

Excessive exposure to violent media can have harmful psychological effects, on children and adolescence who are still developing mentally. When violent behaviour is portrayed as entertainment, it may encourage imitation and cause harm to society. By making and introduccing rating systems and restricting access to violent materials, government can help prevent these negative influences while still allowing adults to make choices on what they watch.

However, it would be unreasonable to claim that violent films alone causes crime. Many other factor like family background, education, and also their social conditions; play a more significant role of shaping an individual mind set. Therefore, while controlling disturbing content can be useful for preventing offenses, but it should not be too excessive that it limits the users freedom.

In conclusion, governments regulation of violent media is beneficial, if applied correctly and sensibly, but I personally think that a balanced approach that protects vulnerable viewers while still letting people be entertained is the most effective way to address this problem to the public.
