A glance at the graph provided illustrates the average monthly price changes of metals such as copper, zinc and nickel in 2014.
It is evident that in january, nickel price was at the highest of 6% whereas, zinc and copper were at 1, 2 percent, respectively. And then value of nickel dropped significantly to 0,5% in May, then fell again rapidly in June at -3 percent, after that it fluctuated until the end of the year. Meanwhile, zinc cost saw a sudden increase to 3% in february, afterwards it generally declined until the rate grew dramatically to 1 percent in november. Besides, copper price steadily decreased throughout the year except in July, it jumped gradually to 1 percentage, subsequently, the rate for copper differed until december.
In conclusion, the cost rate between zinc, copper, and nickel varied considerably during the months in 2014. Furthermore, it appears that price swing fluctuates month upon month in those metals.
