It is evident that, consistent upward trends are posed in the percentage of the population in four countries over the course of seven decades starting in 1970. Additionally, that of the Malaysia is expected to increase dramatically, surpassing over other countries by 2040 while that of the Thailand is projected as a lowest point in the same year.
Initially, both Malaysia and Indonesia pose upward trends consistently. With beginning at 30% in the percentage of the resident living in cities in Malaysia and that in Indonesia starting at over 10%., both countries surging around of 50% over the given period. Consequently, these two countries reach their peak, and also ranking at first and second in Malaysia and Indonesia, respectively.
Futhermore, illustrating a fluctuation in Phillipines, which had first ranking in 1970, reaching its peak at approximately 50% in 1990, slightly decreasing to around 40% in 2010 and is projected climbing to its peak again in 2040. The opposite trend is illustrated in the percentage of the Thailand population residing in cities, beginning at the third ranking, however, it was overtaken by the Indonesia in 2000, resulting in the nation having the least number of citizens.
