The bar chart gives a breakdown about how many movies were taken for a rent and sold in three different formats from a particular video rental shop on a yearly basis over a 9-year period given. It is clear that the two bars showed varying degrees of increase, whereas the other two illustrated a downward trend. Moreover, granted that three of them either raised or declined steadily, DVD sales experienced a reduction in number after a course of growth. In 2002, it can be seen that the film store provided the movies more for rentals than selling them, generating mere 190,000 rentals every year. In the meantime, VHS and DVD were sold making up 80,000 and 50,000 respectively, while blue-ray sales were sold. After a spell of time of reduction in usage number of rentals and VHS sales and that of increase of use number of DVD sales, the latter ones disappeared, going out of trend onwards. By contrast, in 2007, when DVD sales amount reached its peak of almost 210,000 sales per year, blu-ray sales started their productivity being sold to about 1,000. Despite a steady growth of DVD sales, their figure began its decay and stood at 180,000 sales by 2011. The films, which used to be rented, reduced in number and accounted for 60,000 of rentals. Blue-ray, notwithstanding, had shown an increase by a bit more than 10,000 sales, constituting the lowest and the most negligible amount by the final year analyses.
