Nowadays, the dramatic density of cities and growing population can lead to dangerous social consequences. More people discussed that only the government can give an efficient and accurate solution for this problem . Personally , I agree with this view that the government can intervene , which is essential to ensure the housing problem is better for all and maintain social stability .
Firstly , Housing shortage leads to lower economic growth . In Particular , homeless elderly people worry about their future. At that age, they probably cannot own a house to live in and no one will employ them due to their poor health and lack of a permanent place to live. These people may turn to crime or other anti-social activities to survive .A large part of society does not create value for society and is not appreciated due to the housing crisis.
So I think the government should step in and solve the problem. If this is left to private companies, leading to individuals speculation and hoarding houses and making the housing shortage worse again. The government should use taxpayers’ money to provide good and affordable housing .Austria and Singapore, where citizens are virtually guaranteed housing by the government, and those with money will pay for private accommodation if they want it.
In conclusion, the negative impacts of housing shortages such as social instability and economic stagnation underscore the urgent need for government intervention. Only public sector involvement can effectively address this issue, ensuring that housing remains accessible and affordable. I firmly believe that government action is the most efficient solution, benefiting society as a whole by providing stable living conditions for all citizens.
