Many people argue that the internet will never replace traditional academic books, whereas I partly disagree with the opinion that the internet can replace traditional course books in schools because of its benefits.
On one hand, there are some reasons why I believe that the internet can not replace traditional course books. Firstly, using electronic devices for a long time can give your vision a sense of harmfulness. This is because the blue light from screens can make your eyes become short-sighted if you pay attention to it too long. Another reason is most children can not use electronic devices competently so that using the internet to replace books is unreasonable.
On the other hand, the idea of the internet will not replace traditional books is reasonable to some extent. The main one is that using books in studying is the easy way for students to access knowledge. For example, you can easily take note of your exercise when your teachers are teaching. Besides, you can also quickly find your lesson’s contents by the table of contents. The second reason relates to protecting your eyes because you can avoid blue light, which is harmful for vision. However, you also need to sit in correct posture to avoid short-sighting.
In conclusion, while there are many benefits regarding using the internet to replace traditional course books, I still believe that it is more disadvantageous to replace traditional books by the internet in schools. It is advisable that we should keep using traditional books to study and use the internet like a tool for study when necessary.
