In the contemporary world, the consumption of the convenience food has peaked, and this trend has allowed many to adjust to the pace of the advanced life. Although, it allows people to win some time for completing additional work and might be tastier in comparison to homemade meal, I strongly believe that its drawbacks surpass assets since most fast foods have harmful nature and are facilitating the disappearance of the value of traditional cuisine.
One of the most crucial benefits of ready to eat meals that they are ubiquitous and replace time-consuming process into a time, which individuals can use in a more productive way. Burgers and sandwiches, for example, are satiating and can be easily ordered and received from the nearest fast food chains without any hassle to cook. Thereby leaving people time to savor peaceful moment. Furthermore, individuals opt for pre-made foods due to its luscious flavor. Oftentimes experienced chefs who have an in-depth knowledge on cooking prepare these meals making them even more savory. Certainly, it attracts more people especially when they are ravenous.
In my opinion, however, despite having all those above mentioned benefits processed foods still impair health in long-term triggering serious illnesses. To illustrate, diabetes, it stems from overconsumption of salt and sugar. It is widely known that majority of processed foods are high in these and many other harmful additives. Therefore, individuals aiming longevity should consider these factors. Apart from this, disappearance of traditions regarding cooking had a substantial play in the way people demonstrate their country to foreigners. In the past locals used to lay a sumptuous banquet with national meals for tourists so that they could widen their perspective about their nation, however popularization of convenience foods loosened the bond between the people and the traditions by enticing everyone to itself.
In conclusion, I firmly admit that even though ready-made meals save time and satisfy people with its taste more, detrimental factors to health and the culture outstrip its strengths and these should be taken into account.
