The increasing price and declining supply of fossil fuels like oil and gas (non-renewable energy sources) come with environmental issues which make it difficult to continue using them as our primary energy sources. Therefore, some people argue that nuclear power is the only practical alternative. I strongly agree with this opinion beacuse nuclear energy is the only realistic alternative to fossil fuels because it is a more economical way to produce energy but also provides a limitless energy supply.
One primary reason why nuclear power is a realistic alternative is that it is more economical than fossil fuels. This is because nuclear energy requires less raw material and a small amount of uranium can produce a large amount of power for a long time. For instance, countries such as Norway and Finland have been able to meet a significant portion of their national energy needs through nuclear power, which helps them to reduce energy import cost. Therefore, nuclear energy provides an efficient and costly effective solution to the global energy demands.
Another big reason for nuclear power is its ability to provide almost limitless energy supply. Nuclear energy using a high technology such as in nuclear reactors, which can produce amounts of power with minimal waste. For example, many developed countries are investing in nuclear research for energy security for the future. This can operate independently based on weather conditions, unlike solar or wind energy. Therefore, nuclear power offers a stable and not only solution to the world’s growing energy needs but also more sustain for environmental issues.
In conclusion, nuclear power has become a realistic and pratical sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. It is not only more economical in terms of production costs but also provides a limitless and stable source of energy for future global energy demands while reducing environmental damage caused by conventional energy sources.
