Problems that are occurred by consumption of narcotics are universally concerning around the world. It’s not unattainable to eradicate drugs, although it is deep-rooted in society. Some of the problems & suggestions to solve these problems are illustrated in this essay.
To begin with, health deterioration is the most alarming issue that comes with drug addiction. Consuming cocaine & other banned drugs regularly have some serious physical & mental effect such as: rapid weight loss, lose of appetite, risk of heart attack, disturbance in digestion along with hallucination, moral decadence & insanity. Not to mention, overdosage of these substances can lead to instant death. For example, the death of Chester Benington from overuse of drug. Additionally, treatment of these illness and rehabilitation are very expensive for the families of the addicted and it is a very lengthy process. The second reason is crime. As these prohibited chemicals directly take over abuser’s mind, they can’t differentiate between good and wrong doing. They easily cause harm to others for silly reason or self-satisfaction or no reason at all. Besides, they become engaged in robbery-hijacking even in their own family in order to gain money as drugs are quite costly.
On the other hand, first and foremost, these problems can be uprooted by proper education. By including moral & religious teaching & demerits of addiction in curriculum, all types of consequences of drug abuse can be uprooted. Proper introduction of drugs & its serious impacts and moral lessons should be included in syllabus. Second approach would be social awareness. Both governments and society should raise voice against this heinous activity. Government should take a strict stance in drug trafficking & its transportation. Borders between countries should be thoroughly checked while immigration and exporting-importing products. Moreover, police should regularly sit with parents as an act of moral policing. Meanwhile, clergymen of temple-church, teachers from schools should talk to residents to aware children about drugs.
To sum up, troubles come with drug consumption is too lenient to ignore. Nevertheless, a holistic attempt of both governments and citizen is enough to overcome such undesirable degradation.
