It is argued that employers and government should set more convenient working schedules, such as longer weekends and a shorter length of the working week. Personally, I strongly agree with the statement that employees should have a right to spend more time with other things beyond a job, and the government should keep this in consideration.
First of all, I believe that having a longer weekend gives workers an opportunity to establish a personal life, unwind beyond the work bustle, and gain strength for the following week. For example, some workers might have a passion to dedicate their spare time to various activities, hobbies, or just to do some sports. Thus, it contributes to their productivity at work as well. Even if someone works without having days off and weekends, ultimately we can see unhealthy effects on their mental health and physical appearance.
Secondly, while pursuing diligent working, mankind might lose the momentum of being with family and friends. We know that there are lots of things in daily life except working, such as giving time to your self-care, going shopping, relaxing in nature, building up your strength, and so on. Moreover, if you want to manage stress and avoid burnout, having enough weekends may provide those benefits.
Finally, I think there are plenty of reasons, opportunities, and advantages of having enough weekends, as I mentioned above. Also, by taking longer breaks, whether it is a vacation, you can come back to your job with a fresher, more rested mind.
