Making the working week shorter, and giving the workers a longer weekend is a new idea that is argued about a lot these days.
According to the results of many debates done about this topic, there are a lot of pros and cons that will occur when this idea is followed.
One of the advantages is that when workers have more days off during the week, they will take such a great break to restore their energy and renew it regularly. As a result, they will come back to work after this long holiday filled with power and interest to work harder and harder, and do their best to produce the finest product that can be done. Another advantage disscussed is that working people will spend more time with their family, and they can go on a trip or travel together, so those workers will gain more experience, see new things during traveling, and even knowing different cultures if they go abroad. This will lead to having a worker that have a perfect background knowledge to generate from it loads of new creative ides that can make enormous improvements in their companies.
There are also many disadvatnages to this idea. On one hand, many companies that is working, for example, in a field that is full of changes that may happen every day won’t benefit as much as it will harm. That is because the workers won’t be up to date of these new things that may arise in their long weekends. Badly, those companies will lose so much time trying to know, study and cope with these differences, so they won’t develop so much.
To conclude, having a longer weekend have equal percentages of good and bad things that will have an impact on companies, so every company, before following this idea, should make a lot of research, and know either they will gain benefits or harm things more.
