It is widely acknowledged that there is growing consumption of natural resources in different nations around the world. This issue is caused by many factors and several methods can be taken to solve it.
The increasing high level of exploitation could be ascribed to a number of reasons. The primary reason is the overpopulation in various countries, when factories exploit a number of resources in order to accommodate the demand of citizens. This action can eventually lead to overexploitation of natural resources, which causes negative damage to the environment. The over-dependence on natural resources, such as fossil fuels, can be another reason. For instance, in Vietnam, the number of vehicles increases significantly due to the growing demand for commuting, a huge amount of petrol and oil are consumed on daily basis.
Some feasible solutions can be done to solve the overconsumption of Earth’s resources. Firstly, the government should publish many strict laws and punishments so as to limit the use of natural resources. Furthermore, campaigns can be organized and spread widely on different social media platforms to raise the citizens’ awareness about the importance of these resources to humans. Another sustainable solution is the local government can promote their citizens to commute by public transportation instead of their private vehicles, which can reduce the carbon emissions and other environmental issues.
In conclusion, overexploitation of natural resources can be attributed to multiple reasons and many solutions should be implemented in order to solve this serious problem to increase the living standards of citizens
