Nowadays, education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of young individuals. It is often the case that career aspirations are determined during the early years of schooling, with some aspiring to pursue scientific professions while others aim for careers in sports. Nevertheless, there is a prevailing belief that non-academic subjects should be excluded from the school curriculum to prevent students from being distracted.
Typically, academic subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and humanities are integral components of students’ overall learning and intellectual development. These subjects not only facilitate students’ integration into society but also aid in shaping their future career paths. Conversely, non-academic subjects, such as those related to physical education, play a vital role in promoting a healthy lifestyle. Far from being a distraction, these subjects provide students with an opportunity to relax and recuperate from the rigors of academic study. In fact, far from hindering academic success, these non-academic subjects, particularly those related to sports, have a positive impact on students’ physical well-being, improving blood circulation and positively influencing their mindset. Therefore, it is my firm belief that non-academic subjects should remain an indispensable part of the academic syllabus, as they contribute significantly to the holistic development of students.
