Now, every family has more than one car. And this trend continues to grow. In my opinion, there are not only clear advantages, but also several disadvantages of it. Now I will discuss both

The main benefit of car ownership for families is having several cars is extremely convenient and helps reduce routine time spending. For example, according to the survey conducted in Britain families who do not have a personal vehicle spend twice as much time on commutes, shopping and other activities which are require a transport to arrive to destination then ones with at least one car. This issue is more critical for families with children, because they should delivery their children to school and extracurricular activities. In general, Optimizing time spending is the main reason to buy a personal transport or several for large families

From the other hand, having a car is very expensive. So it can be a major drawback for some families. My uncle recently said he had spent about 500 thousand rubles on car service in the previous year. It happened because the car broke down several times. In addition, car consumes a lot of gas which also costs so expensive compare to public transport fair. The more cars in the garage the more maintenance cost, so families which have more cars than my uncle spend more money on car

In conclusion, car ownership have pros and cons. It can be unaffordable for some family while other can not spend a lot of time on public transport and have to buy and use personal car
