As health care can be expensive for some people, many choose to treat themselves rather than visiting doctors, however this might worsen their condition rather than improve it. Keeping this idea in my mind, I believe that it is a negative development and will further explain my point through this essay.
To begin with, every field in this world consists of a professional who possesses specific knowledge about a certain issue. Hence, rather than trying to fix things on our own and worsen it, we consult experts within the field. Doctors are one of these experts, who are capable of providing us with the accurate treatment while acknowledging the fact that all our bodies are built different. For example, an elderly patient with heart issues will be given different doses of medications when compared to a child with cardiac problems. This ensures that the body is given only the appropriate level of medication that the patient can handle.
Moreover, while I admit that health care has become expensive, it is also necessary as it ensures that the patient is provided with top facilities and given the same priorities as any other patient regardless of their financial capabilities. Furthermore, financially unstable patients are now given the opportunity to seek donations for treatments, allowing them to seek expert help without having to delay procedures and get better on time. To illustrate this, many parents, spouses etc often turn to social media to ask individuals for help funding treatment for family members.
To summarise, I completely agree that individuals try to get better by themselves, however it is best to get professional care in order to ensure that the right treatment is given for the specific problem.
