It is irrefutable fact that that advancement of technology and medical facilities has drastically increased the life expectancy rate of individuals. As people strive to adapt to these transformations, a concerning debate often arise about working age limit, people believe that elderly beings should pursue the jobs. I agree with this said notion and will describe my views in following paragraphs.
To embark upon, there are numerous of benefits of exceeding retirement age, older individuals will continue to work and will be able to fulfil their necessities on their own. To be more precise, they will not have to be dependent on anyone for their needs and they will not feel themselves as burden on any other. Moreover, these days family members do not have enough time to spend with elders so they often feel lonely at home. However, after being employed they will also spend their time doing work and will not feel alone. This will also prevent them from being mentally ill and they will also be physically active. Thus raising retirement age will largely benefit them on their individual level.
Furthermore strengthening my views, raising retirement age will also benefit country’s economy. Nation will have more workforce which will contribute in economy of the country. Government will also have to spend less on benefit for old age people such as senior citizen discounts, health care benefits etc. This will decrease the expenditure of the country and will assist in improving country’s economy.
In conclusion although opponents of this view believe that elder ones should enjoy their lives away from pressure of work. However I believe that for pleasures of life money is necessity. Raising retirement age will leads to betterment of country, society and individuals.
