In modern society, the sales of consumer goods have increased significantly, and many people argue that advertising plays a major role in this trend. While I agree that advertising strongly influences people’s purchasing decisions, I believe that many products are still bought to meet real needs.
On the one hand, I believe that consumers are often influenced by trends created by advertising. People naturally tend to follow others because they do not want to feel left out. As a result, advertising and marketing strategies can easily affect people’s choices. Moreover, in a highly complex market, individuals may feel tired of comparing products, so they often choose popular and heavily advertised items.
On the other hand, I also believe that people are becoming more aware of the negative effects of overconsumption. With access to information through the internet and media, consumers can now compare products more carefully. Therefore, they are more likely to make rational decisions based on quality and necessity rather than simply following advertisements.
In conclusion, although advertising has a strong influence on consumer behaviour, I believe that people still make purchasing decisions based on their real needs in many cases.
