Nowadays, the elevated sales of popular consumer goods indicate that the power of advertising take a role. I absolutely agree about this statement. While some opinion say this is not real necessity of society in which they are sold, I can partly agree. Further discussion will extend more my opinion.

Social media is a strong channel to reach all people with its algorithm. Social media platform such as Tiktok, Instagram, facebook and Temu are accessible anytime and anywhere to everyone on every ages. The platform has been transformed from social networking into e-commerce. Meanwhile, industries also jump into this media, so they can influence and promote their products with low budget ads. Attractive colour, picture and magic words will bring shopper to click “buy” or even repeat order. Even though buyer can compare one to another shops, finally the impressive products and appearance will make them to buy.

Furthermore, seller can put any goods in their online shop. A decision to buy depend to buyer. People will not attract to buy goods where they do not need it. While price, uniqueness will be some factors to make a decision. Moreover, smart buyer will consider by comparing to another shop, discount price and quality. These three factors usually affected by limit budget.

In conclusion, It is partly agree, that power of advertising will be primary marketing strategy to boast sales performance by influence people to buy something where it is no real demand. But sometimes, this strategy does not work well for some people who strictly to make critical thinking when make a buying decision.
