Band 6+: Too much emphasis is given to education on the young. More government money should be spent on the free time activity of young people. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is argued that governmental bodies have put a lot of emphasis on subjects related to the education, while some people believe that more money should be invested in recreational facilities for the youngsters. I take issue with this view because of the unjust distribution of educational facilities and the importance of education in the improvement of the country.

It is undeniable that many children in the world and some areas in the country suffer from a lack of essential educational facilities. In other words, children in some areas, such as slums and villages in the country, have had no access to a school for many years, forcing them to study in schools situated in the nearest town. In addition, not only do they not have access to a school near their house, but they also lack a well-organized transport system. For instance, most children living within the southern part of Iran, should go through an arduous journey every day to reach their school, located in a town behind the mountains.

Much as a lot of emphasis have been given to the education of students in cities, it is not enough due to inexorable advancement of technology, obliging countries to put more emphasis on education. It is evident that in today’s world, sophisticated systems designed by state-of-the-art technologies have made the world a better place to live. However, if countries abandon their emphasis on education, they will lose their connections with neighboring countries, resulting in going bankrupt in the stock market. As a result, it is too important for politicians to set rules and allocate funds to educational-related areas, helping the advancement of its education system.

In conclusion, while some individuals argue that the government should allocate a greater budget for the free time activities of teenagers instead of their education, I am of the opinion that too much emphasis is needed on education to have a just disribution of educational facilities in the country, and maintain the connection created between countries for improvement of the country.
