Doing extensive research about a chosen location can be crucial in order to guarantee a memorable holiday. As a result, this process can assist in the gathering of insightful facts and a more comprehensive understanding. Becoming immersed in foreign customs, cuisines, and traditions is another benefit of visiting overseas. For instance, Vietnamese women will often dress in traditional clothing such as Ao Dai during the Lunar New Year festivities, as wearing bright colors is known to bring good fortune in the coming year. These kinds of experiences in overseas countries are essential to broadening one’s horizons.
On the other hand, it is undeniable that domestic travel is less likely to include as many possible risks as foreign travel. There’s a higher chance of running into problems because of communication obstacles and cultural differences. Different types of greetings, for example, are typical welcome gestures in European nations, yet they may be misinterpreted and cause culturally sensitive problems when directed towards other individuals, particularly in some Asian countries.
To conclude, although visiting overseas is an opportunity to widen one’s point of view, it is also of critical importance that tourists be aware of any potentially inappropriate gestures. As a result, I only somewhat agree with the proposed notion.
