Many people argue that since it is impossible to help everyone in need, we should only focus on helping to our own communities and countries. While I understand that it is practical to prioritise local problems, I also believe that people have a responsibility to assist others globally whenever possible.
On the one hand, there are many reasons to focus on helping people in our own community. Firstly, every country have their own problems such as poverty, jobless and lack of healthcare. Government have limited resources , so it is more sensible to deal with local issues before helping other nations. Secondly, helping local peoples can makes stronger community and improve relationship between citizens. For example, joining to local volunteering or support neighborhood projects can directly change people life. Finally, government is mostly responsible of their own citizens, so they should give more attention for local people first.
However, helping people in other part of the world also can brings many benefits. The modern world is very connected, problems like climate changing, wars and diseases effect everyone. For example, giving international helps to poor countries can decrease poverty, stop global crisis and make peace in the world. Another important point is that cooperation between countries let them to share knowledges and resource, which is good for all nation in future. Finally, in individual level, peoples can do small but meaning contribution by give money to global charity or support humanitarian organization in internet.
In conclusion, not only it is necessary to support local community and maintain good level of living, but also it is beneficial to distribute help among people all over the world.
