Talking with each other in various styles is easier to do nowadays, cheaper and bridges distances are the benefits. However, miscommunication and prefer to communicate via online over meet in person are the bad aspects of this age.
One of the most convenient of this communication era is losing a gap to communicate, no matter how far and where someone lives, we can always talk with them by calls or messages. On the other side, it also takes low-cost because if people do not want to spend more money to purchase a credit, WhatsApp is the best option, Majority of Indonesian using WhatsApp to stay connected with their family who lives overseas by the reason it is simple and economical.
Despite these advantages, lately society prefer to talk via online rather than offline and make negative impacts to the real relationship; such as, in reality, lots of people lost their abilities to stay in touch. In the other hand, many blunders information happens because there is a lack of emotions especially during Chats. According to the data, many university students in Lombok, complaining that they have poor relationship with their professor by cause of misconception and end up with lower score, this statement supported by lots of my friends say,”I did not mean to say that, but my professor has misunderstood what I meant.”
In conclusion, the variety of communication methods are beneficial for humanity since it is eliminating the distance and low-price. However, individualism and a lack of understanding also comes as significant disadvantages.
