In this contemporary epoch, it is true that in lieu of earning a likelihood, a majority of people have a propensity of desiring not to work. Personally, I totally take issue with this standpoint due to two primary justifications.
As mentioned below, there exists two reasons why this phenomenon is worrying. The first and perhaps the most plausible elucidation for this is that they will run a high risk of bearing great financial burdens. Undoubtedly, without frequent income, they will have no choice but to rely on the limited unemployment insurance, making daily expenses like travelling or housing a demanding task for them let alone accommodating other myriad personal demands namely healthcare, entertainment and etc. Despite not being pressurized by a mountain of tasks, they are still susceptible to many pressures switching from impoverishment to the inability of fully feeding their families, which triggers numerous intellectual diseases such as sleep deprivation, mental disorders or even depression. In addition, should they not expose themselves to a congenial dynamic environment, little can they propel towards betterment. To specify, when engaging in the vibrant fast-paced labor market, not only are they facilitated to accumulate a plethora of indelibly invaluable lessons but they are also able to mutually learn from their counterparts. Being devoid of these golden chances, they are less likely to stay out of their comfort zones, therefore lagging behind with a disillusion of contentment when being jobless.
However, there are some opposing views to these viewpoints. They opine that financial pressure is not a persuasive explanation as breadwinner is not necessarily an onus on one particular person whereas they can strike a sustainable balance when equally taking accountability for meeting the material and familial demand. Also, with someone who has made concerted efforts in challenging themselves, opportunities abound everywhere, thus joblessness just being an excuse for their passiveness in making headways. Although this is partially true, I would argue that they need to objectively speculate the real-life situation. To clarify, after a hectic day of doing household chores or painstaking official hours, being tolerant and sympathetic for each other’s strains is virtually impossible since they hardly envisage what obstacles ones must encounter when being in two contradictory places. Consequently, in all likelihood, both physical and familial needs will be unmet driving the so-called balance to be upset readily. Besides, even with an uttermost aspiration to thrive, no one can still wholeheartedly dedicate to working after a hard-racking day of taking care of the whole family. By this I mean, passiveness is at no time a pretext but a misunderstanding of time lacking to foster themselves.
To encapsulate, from the aforementioned points, I am of a strong reaffirmation that perpetual withdrawal from the workforce renders two major downsides being monetary hardships and disincentive to grow.
