I think that newspapers are the best source of current events because they only publish articles with complete proof, whereas social media platforms share different points of view related to the same news but have serious concerns about their reliability.

This shows that they take full responsibility for every material shared from their side, and thus, this makes them the most dependable source for the information. This means that still in this modern age, the public is considering newpapers as an integral part of their lives, which provides them with accurate and updated information.
On the other hand, we have noticed that social media is a widely used platform these days, and it provides a lot of news in a very short time. On top of it, you can learn different points of view and emotions linked to the same news. This makes them a very versatile channel, but we have also noticed that a lot of the information shared lacks substantial proof and is eventually found to be speculation or false information. I think that social media platforms are not reliable and should not be trusted for every piece of news shared.
In conclusion, traditional newspapers are still the best bet to get authentic information on the current situation; however, you can get a lot of news in a limited time from social media platforms, but this information might have huge authenticity concerns.
