Recently, e-books have experienced an increasing trend and nearly dominated the original paper books. Some people believe this trend brings more advantages like encouraging people to read, the others state that its disadvantages like increasing the rate of losing occupation.
One of the main advantages of this trend is the encouragement to citizens to read a book. It is apparent that things would be easier for people to get access to any books, newspapers, or novels due to digital versions of themselves on the internet and they will not have to travel to the nearest bookstore to buy. All things they have to do is just open their phone or any electrical device and search for the thing that they want to read. For instance, Due to some science-based research, scientists have witnessed the proportion of readers increase due to the transfer of original books to digital form.
Despite those states, this trend still has some drawbacks, which make other people lose their jobs. If readers have easy access to any books, this would discourage them from buying a book at a store, therefore, the bookstore owners may lose their income, and they have to change their occupation. Furthermore, this trend would badly damage the paper industry, due to the decrease in the demand for books and make the company have to fire some workers. For example, due to recent research, more and more workers have lost their jobs because their companies do not have enough money to pay for their salaries.
In conclusion, even though the changes in the percentages of e-books, may encourage people to read, however, we have to acknowledge this would effect on other works
