Since the last 10 years, there is scarcity of open fields for amusement in big cities. As a result, the park lands are on target to make new buildings on these. While I think building new apartments to reduce the housing is not a good decision because children will not have any playground and it will reduce places of amusement for the community. While others argue that, cities are facing difficulty with finding a house for their family and that is increasing distance between their family.
First of all, children in big cities barely can play like us because there is not enough space. In addition, children are becoming physically weak, they are trapped in monotonous life. If the lands are used for making new apartments to increase the availability of apartments then it will lead to decrease the place to play for children. For instance, according to a physiologist, a 5 year old needs to play at least 1 hour a day so that he or she has muscle movements. Moreover, regular playing on the playground makes our immunity stronger. According to studies, children get effective immunity by exposure to humans and the environment. Hence, a playground is necessary in a community.
Secondly, undoubtedly parks are the main amusement places for both children and elders. Usually, senior citizens barely have interest in walking or movements because of their age, therefore, parks help them to socialize with the neighborhood. Eventually, because of parks, elders are willing to join in different activities like playing, walking and picnics. Which helps them to minimize their loneliness in big cities.
Conversely, large cities have more job opportunities . That is why people move from small towns to big cities. Over the past few years, according to a survey, 50 million people choose big cities over smaller cities to live. Though because of the house crisis only one member from each family moved out and left other members in their old place. Considering that, more housing facilities are required so that the distance between family members can be reduced. For example, from a family only father moved out in another city to earn more but his sons and daughter do not get him physically and mentally. Nevertheless, it leads to mental detachment with the father and his children. If accommodation facilities could be increased the bonding between a family would have been more strong.
To conclude, I believe that parks hold importance for knowing the neighborhood and make strong bonding within the community. Housing is also important as a lot of people move from one place to another place to cope with finances day by day. Yet, it will be better if constructing new building can be made on land that is not holding for park.
