There is a continuous argument that the current environmental problems will force humanity to migrate to another planet for its survival. And I strongly disagree with the notion. I think it is a far-fetched concept to believe that human species will abandon the earth. I have a couple of personal beliefs to explain my argument.
Firstly, “Technology is the solution”. Although our growing technology and demand for energy is the biggest reason for our climate crisis, It will also be the cure to it. Renewable and carbon-free energy is a trending and fast-growing market in the world. Humanity has come a long way from making energy using fossil fuels to using renewable energy sources like wind, hydro dams, and the sun. Soon we will have more advanced and efficient modes of energy production that can co-exist in harmony with our planet. And this will be crucial to solving our climate issue.
Additionally, the growing awareness of climate change within our communities will play a pivotal role in overturning our current issue. Government officials and organizations are working hard on the awareness and day-to-day action of controlling climate change. For example, in my country Ethiopia, there was a grand campaign for planting trees. It was led by our prime minister and it ignited a national movement for plantation. Even my mother has participated in the movement. This illustrates the power of pro-environment policies.
In conclusion, If we work hard on community awareness and invest heavily in eco-friendly technology, We will soon have a healthy planet. And, one day climate change may become a story of the past.
