It is often argued that the most essential aim of science must be to improve people’s lives. While some people consider that science should concentrate on improving people’s lives, others think that science must give more attention to the space or ocean. I partly agree that science should improve peoples’ life for several reasons. This essay will explain why hold this opinion.

The primary reason why I support this view is that science should focus on research into human health. The reason for this is that scientists can discover new treatments for serious diseases, such as cancer and heart disease. This can reduce the number of people suffering from serious illnesses. This can clearly be seen in deadly disease called cancer which can lead to negative consequences. Many people face with a serious form of cancer which highly-qualified specialists can’t deal with and give advice to be fully healthy. Therefore, science must focus on researching of human health to reduce the number of people suffering from serious illness.

On the other hand, science should not forget about crucial part of our life that addicted to space and ocean. Exploring space can help scientists develop new technologies that improve everyday life. In addition, studying the oceans allows researchers to discover new species and medecines. For example, many modern technologies, including satellite communication and GPS, were originally developed through space research. Therefore, although improving people’s lives should be the main goal of science, other areas of scientific research are also extremely valuable.

In conclusion, while science should continue exploring space and the oceans, I believe its main purpose should be to improve people’s lives. This is because scientific research can save lives, prevent serious diseases and create a healthier future for society.
