Some individuals think that in the digital era, theatres and cinemas are not vital, since people have abitility to watch all the entertainment they want online, while others believe that cultural activities are still significant both economically and culturally. This essay will discuss both these views and argue in favor of the latter.
On the one hand, activities such as theatres and cinemas are not important for people, because they can find more engaging entertainments on the internet. In modern world, today’s generation prefer activities which more intriguing and eye-catching for them. However, cultural activities do not match with contemporary standards like an online activities. For example, rather than buying ticket to the theatre and watch opera for one hour, teenagers would choose to watch youtube, which offers a wider variety of entertainment, comparing to theatres and cinemas.
On the other hand, it is cultural entertainment that is still valuable today, both financially and traditionally. Firstly, traditional activities cultivate country’s economy in different ways. For instance, cinemas make a profit by casting new movies and selling tickets, afterwards, part of this income goes to the government. Secondly, the ethnical entertainment is the major reminder of traditions. In the developing century, where robots are at the cutting edge of the industry, individuals may forget them cultural values. In this case, for example, scenes in the theatres can demonstrate important concepts and provide information about culture for people. Every scene in the theatre or movie in the cinema consist valuable information which would be beneficial for viewers.
