What main factors contribute to landmark accomplishments of players in sport events has gradually become a subject of considerable controversy amongst communities of enthusiasts. While some people propose that mental development plays a vital role in one’s ability to play sports, I would put forward the view that being proficient in physical aspects has more effects on this.
On the one hand, I can’t argue against the fact that intrapersonal wellness can bring to players the stability in terms of their psychological side. Evidently, those having a control on their emotions are more likely unaffected under pressure caused by additional factors than others, which eventually leads to better states in their performance. An apparent example for this effects can be mentioned is the intense competition between two athletes at the same level of competence in which the winner is the one whose feelings more stable. Consequently, it can be said that the prosperity in sport is closely related to the quality of mental health.
On the other hand, I believe that the competence in playing sport games is nurtured mostly by a long-term period of physical training. It is obvious that the majority of available sports existing in human culture always request a certain state of physical well-being. For instance, to be eligible to join and be accomplished in such dramatic sports like basketball or surfing, participants must have particular physical heath quality such as the height or the firmness regarding physical strength when playing throughout a long time. Therefore, if people want to achieve remarkable milestones in sports, they need to put more emphasis on practicing physical strength.
In conclusion, it is true that the elevation of mental skills can have some beneficial impacts on human’s competence in playing sports. Nevertheless, I belive that physical improvement make more significant contribution to general ability to play sports.
