Though healthcare facilities have boomed in the 20th century, there are still issues when there is an outbreak of pandemic in most of the countries. According to me, a country should be focusing more on their medical infrastructure than promoting and spending money on tourism because, considering an individual or family, health is a top priority.
The government, more or less, should take care of human beings as they pay a hefty amount of tax. There should be facilities that should be brought into effect for the most common-caused illness, and these must be provided free of charge. For instance, Canada provides flu shots in winters without taking a penny from the people. Moreover, they provide concessions where the treatment cost is exceeding a limit decided by the minister of healthcare.
If the medical care for all diseases is provided free of charge, then there are some disadvantages, as there would be a lot of rush in hospitals and doctors wouldn’t take much care of their patients, and the situation would be much more tough. There should be some implementation from the authorities to apply benefits based on the annual income.
Some countries too have insurance benefits, and people take advantage of these facilities where you have to file for reimbursement and there is a lot of paper work to be done. However, a nation should implement some strategies for employers to provide insurance to every working professional and there dependents.
Lastly, provisional free healthcare should be provided to every citizen when there is fear amongst the people due to some outrage in the environment and in the dangerous virus situation.
