The behavior of famous people often influence to young people, so celebrities should only be allowed to advertise healthy food or drink and should not encourage unhealthy habits such as smoking. I don’t quite agree with this opinion.
Firstly, young people often copy the behavior of famous people. Many brands know that if celebrities collab with their products, they will make more sales because young people will copy their idols’ styles and choices. But not all of these businesses offer well-behave products. Some famous people choose healthy products or not which depends on their choices and the benefits it brings about. Thus, it may affect young people’s mindset and hobbies. Most of teenagers choose to be like their idols.
However, being influenced by celebrities or not relies on how teenagers react to that information and their choice to follow. We can’t force well-known people to follow our proposal, they should do anything they want to do and be the person they want to be. For example, my favourite rapper has advertised a cigarette brand which is his choice and I can’t do anything about it. Instead, I can choose to buy the product or not which depends on myself. We can’t prohibit young people from following their celebrities but we can show them the right way to do.
In conclusion, the behavior of well-known people can affect young people and we can’t do anything to stop it, the only thing we can do is show teenagers the right way to choose which is settle down their personality in the future.
