It is commonly said that many young people are willing to imitate celebrities’ behavior. Because of this matter, some people argue that famous figures should be restricted in terms of promoting goods into healthier ones and should deterred from unhealthy habits like smoking. Time is ripe to shed more light on the agreement of this proposal.
It is no gainsaying that well-known individuals have the potential to impress their followers, particularly youngers. It can be clearly seen that most of the time young adults are subjected to the modes and fashions industries, and many brands know how celebrities can influence them to increase the sales rate so that a vast majority of companies invest huge amounts of sums on targeting these audiences by convincing famous person to advertise their products. Such products can be beneficial or not.
It is highly recommended by many individuals to impose limitations on public-figure advertising. Once a famous actor in the public eye does some good or bad deed, it is highly likely to be followed by their fans, leading to make a new habit. Therefore, if it is focused on far more advantageous behavior, it will accustom to a good behavior. For example, having a strong dietary habit, which can result in preventing obesity and being in shape. Nevertheless, it is worth noticing that each celebrity has his own freedom to make a choice of accepting the advertisement offered to them due to taking advantage of the money. In my view, the merits of this restriction overshadow the demerits.
In conclusion, although celebrities, as humans, have freedom, I completely agree with the proposal of the limitation of bad advertising and improving good ones, which can serve as a cultivation of good habits.
