Nowadays, young people tend to spend money on clothes and technology to follow fashion trends on social media. From my point of view, clothes, while some engagement with trends is natural, excessive time and financial investment can have negative consequences.
Firstly, society now values our personality through the way we dress up and our fashion. In this way, young people can express their personality, mood, and creativity. By selecting and adapting trends, we can communicate our identity or feelings through our style. Besides, the way we choose our own fashion style and outfit can enhance creativity and confidence. For instance, wearing trendy outfits can make us feel more confident and empowered, especially when we receive compliments or feel that we fit in socially.
On the other hand, for those from humble backgrounds, the financial burden associated with purchasing high-cost items can lead to overspending and the acquisition of unnecessary possessions that aren’t practical. Moreover, when we care too much about their appearance, we tend to pay more attention to others’ comments. From that, we gradually lose confidence, and energy, and feel pressured about dressing to keep up with trends.
In conclusion, while participating in fashion trends can be enjoyable and empowering, it is essential that young people find a balance to avoid undue stress and financial strain.
