In recent years and days, the technology has been developing rapidly. The rise of artificial intelligent has made studying from electronic devices convenient and becoming common. Raising a question among pupils whether computers will completely replace the role of the teacher in the close future. In my point of view, I strongly disagree with this statement.
To begin with, the computer cannot take care of children as if an adult teacher could. Firstly, computer might provide the needed education materials such as video lessons, explanation, homework generation and that is all. However, It cannot ensure student’s physical and mental safety, because it does not guarantee children outside the classroom and cannot protect them in real life. Furthermore, academic knowledge is not what school all about, a lack of communication with real adult may contribute to a shortcoming of cooperation skills among youngsters.
On the other hand, frequent computer usage can be harmful for childrens’ health in a long run. Especially if electronic devices is used from a young age. There is numerous negative effects on juveniles’ health. First of all, half day long screen time during the classes would damage students’ sight steadily. Secondly, persistent online lessons will lead to sedentary lifestyle among youngsters, which contributes the raise of potential health risks such as higher blood pressure and bad posture.
To sum up, the role of teacher should not be represented by machines, due to its absence of communication skills, lack of ability to guarantee students’ physical safety, and affects harmfully on youths’ stable health.
