The two maps show Denham town, in its current form and its previous form.
Overall, it is clear that there was increase in the number of houses over time, at the expense of greenland.
Previously, the Denham Down settlement was on the east of the center and consisted of River Stoke, shops, a post office, a primary school, a road, a large house with gardens, and farmland as the vast area of the town.
According to the present plan, only the post office and the River Stoke remained untouched. The most significant development was the expansion of the houses in number and the expansion of the road for accessibility at the expense of farmland and shops. The primary school was renovated, with more buildings added; half of the area of the large house with gardens was occupied by the increased number of houses and roads constructed, and the remaining half was remodeled into a retirement house with flowers on both sides of the building. The present plan shows that there is no farmland available.
