The maps illustrate the changes that have taken place in a school library between five years ago and now.
Overall, the library has experienced a host of alterations, the most prominent of which are the removal of old facilities and replace with the new and modern ones.
Five years ago, the library contained two main rows of book shelves along the top and bottom walls. In the central area, several shared studying tables were provided. On the right-hand side, a computer area was available for students, while the bottom right corner was occupied by a library office. On the left side, there was a classroom and a meeting room, alongside a borrowing and returning desk.
In the existing layout, notable changes have been made. The central area now features private studying tables instead of shared ones. In addition, the book shelves to the North remain intact, whereas the one to the South as well as the desk for computers in the North East has been converted into desks for student’s laptop. Further down the south, library office was also removed, making way for a conference room. On the opposite side, the borrowing and returning desk has been split into two separate sections. Meanwhile, a recording studio has been constructed to replace the classroom area.
