The bar charts delineate the statistics of the people affected by various types of noises during the day in 2007. It appears that the noises were caused by four types of sources: traffic, train, aircraft, and industry.
Overall, the trends were absolutely similar for both living zones. Even though, the figures for the urban districts were twice as more, compared to the countrysides.
According to the first chart, the traffic noise overwhelmingly affected 64 million people by day, while the index was 48 million in nighttime. In rural areas the numbers were approximately half as lower, than in the cities. Turning to the noise from the train, 18 million of residents were affected by this sounds in the urban areas, with higher rate in the daytimes. In rural areas, the rate was slightly lower, 8 and 6 million during the day and at night, respectively.
Aircraft disturbance was annoying for the minority of the people. Nevertheless, the data was similar during nighttime, while the cities were characterized by more sound producing, compared to villages.
In terms of industry, the data for the countryside indicated a lack of value. However, 1 million and 0.25 million citizens in the urban area were impacted by the industrial noise during the daytime and nighttime.
