On the one hand, many people believe to the idea that businesses exist primarily to maximize profits. In other word, business success is measured by the amount and speed of making a profit, which is exactly what people expect when they invest resources into starting a business. Maintaining and developing a business requires constant investment of money, so the lack of consistent profits can become a serious problem that threatens the sustainability of the project.
On the other hand, some people support the idea that businesses should strive to decide social and environmental problems more than to maximize profits. Modern business cannot limit its interaction with the social and environmental parts of the world, because in the long run it is the only way to survive and develop.
Finally, in my opinion, the main purpose of a business is to make money, while it should also contribute to solving social and environmental problems. There are non-profit organizations aimed at decision the problems of humanity, they are often sponsored by enterprises or live on donations. In order to maintain balance and further develop in the long term, businesses need to replenish and maintain natural and human resources on time.
In conclusion, in order to support and develop a business in the long term, it is necessary to maintain a balance between the desire to make money and decision the problems of humanity. I believe that the business of the future will effectively combine profitability with the help of people and nature.
