Some parents strongly believe that giving children homework every day helps them stay focused on their studies, while others think it puts too much pressure on kids. Personally, I feel that homework is important, but it should be given in a balanced and thoughtful way.
On one hand, doing homework regularly helps students remember what they’ve learned in school and strengthens their understanding. It also builds good habits like time management and responsibility. For instance, kids who get into the habit of doing small tasks every day might feel more prepared and confident when it comes to exams or bigger assignments.
On the other hand, too much homework can be tiring, especially for young children. After spending the whole day at school, they need time to relax, play, and be with their families — all of which are just as important as studying. If students are always busy with homework, they might get stressed or lose interest in learning. In fact, some studies show that too much homework doesn’t really help younger students learn better.
In the end, I believe that giving students some homework is helpful, but giving it every single day may do more harm than good. A balanced approach — with the right amount of meaningful homework — can support learning without making students feel overwhelmed.
