Band 7+: Some believe that robots play a crucial role in shaping humanity's future, whereas others argue that they pose risks and could harm society. Consider both arguments and present your viewpoint.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Robots are becoming more common, and people have different opinions about them. Some believe they are essential for humanity’s future, while others think they bring dangers and could hurt society. This essay will explore both perspectives and explain why I agree with the former viewpoint.

On one hand, some people worry that robots pose risks to society. They worry that robots might take away jobs, leaving many people unemployed. For instance, if machines replace cashiers or drivers, workers in these sectors could face difficulties in finding new employment opportunities. Critics also express concern that robots could become dangerous if they malfunction (trục trặc) or are misused. A robot in a household or military setting, such as a drone, could cause accidents or even be turned into a weapon. These concerns lead some to believe that robots could undermine safety and stability in society.

However, others, including myself, argue that robots play a crucial role in shaping a better future. Robots can make life easier and safer by performing difficult or hazardous/dangerous tasks. For instance, in factories, robots can lift heavy objects or handle dangerous chemicals, thereby reducing the risk of accidents for human workers. In medicine, robotic tools assist doctors in performing surgeries with greater precision. Therefore, robots have the potential to significantly improve productivity, safety, and overall quality of life, making them an important part of our future.

In conclusion, while some see robots as key to progress, others fear their dangers to jobs and security. I believe robots can benefit society if we can limit their risks by creating rules to protect jobs and ensure safety.
