When old age comes older people cannot look for yourselves and it is complicated for them to do even basic tasks. That is why you younger family members often support them by taking care of older ones.
On the one hand, younger family members should take responsibility of taking care of oldest family members because older ones had looked after younger ones. For instance, in the childhood our mothers had been looking for us and it would be unfair if we will not do it the same for her after several years.
On the other hand, younger people also have their own responsibilities and problems. They may not have proper time for taking responsibility for another person. For example, this person might have many business trips or working hours. For this situations we have A nursing home where special workers would carefully look after old age people and they also can find new friends of their age.
By analysing both sides we can come to the conclusion that it depends on the younger family member’s situation. If this person have time and conditions for physically, mentally and financially taking care of his old family member then he should take this kind of responsibility. However, the family member couldn’t give those things he or she can find alternatives such as a nursing home or relatives that can take this responsibility for themselves.
