There is an opinion said that modern gadgets strengthen the community sense, while others argue that they have isolated individuals. In my opinion, although technologies bring about contrasting effects on humans, I believe that the growing popularity of digital interaction would offer substantial benefits.
On the one hand, some people advocate the idea of being more isolated due to technological advancements, and justifiably so. This method has an adverse bearing on interpersonal relationships in reality. In fact, when people have constant access to technologies, specifically smartphones, can prevent them from making personal connections, leading to the degradation of quality family time. That might cause several domestic conflicts due to mutual misunderstanding.
On the other hand, despite the aforementioned disadvantage, I would maintain that people can reap several benefits from digital devices. The first compelling reason is that these tools allow individuals to stay in touch with each other without geographical barriers. Via social media platforms people have more than a chance not only to transcribe the messages within several seconds, but to transform them into a digital town square also, where millions gather to share their own stories and experiences. That creates a widespread and inherent connection among a virtual world. Additionally, communicating via Internet-based devices is beneficial for businesses. For instance, in a multinational company where cross-cultural people often work across different regions and time zones, virtual appointments facilitate business opportunities and diversity in the exchange of information and working skills. That enables smoother interactions, and fosters a more cohesive workplace, thereby enhancing overall productivity and strengthening the bond among colleagues.
In conclusion, while high-tech gadgets are the driving force behind the disconnection from the real relationships, I personally think that fast-paced technological innovations could provide individuals opportunities to communicate more widely and create an inherent link among them.
