The chart below compares spending on family in restaurants and home cooking in four different years, and the graph gives information about consuming of fastfood meals and sitdown restaurant meals.
Overall it is clear that home cooking was the most popular type of spending during three years, it is also noticeable that fastfood meals had the highest number of meals per year.
The chart below shows that the percentage of food budget spent on restaurant meals increased rapidly from 10% to 50% between 1970 and 2000. Moreover, the percentage of expenses on home cooking decreased from 90% to 50%.
The graph illustrates that the number of fasfood meals was around 20 initially, and in 2000, it grew to around 80 meals per year. Furthermore, between 1970 and 2000, the number of sitdown restaurant meals increased slightly and reached a pick of 40 meals per year. Moreover, thenumber of fasfood meals started growing faster from 1980 to 2000.
