The given pie charts outline the types of food, such as animal food, nuts and seeds, processed foods and vegetables and fruits, ate by world’s population in 2008, compared to India and China.
First pie chart shows the worlds total consumption. It is clearly visible from the chart that processed food was dominated the market in 2008 with 41 percent, where as vegetables and and fruits contains 29 percent of total. Animal food closely follow vegetables and fruits at third place with 26 percent and nuts and seeds shown only 4 percent of total food consumption.
The other two pie charts show consumption in China and India. Processed food also dominated market in both country like in world consumption data with 34 and 39 percent respectively. Vegetables and fruits held 23 percent of total whereas in China it had around 32 percent. Very less part of total use held by nuts and seeds while it was held by animal food in China.
In conclusion, the lowest consumption all over the world is done in nuts and seeds, whereas biggest portion of consumption gone after processed foods.
