The line chart illustrates the number of requests for information a tourist office in the UK received from January to July.
Overall, all categories witnessed an upward trend except for letter or email sector with a fall. Notably, face-to-face requests ranked first in the start but then surpassed by telephone enquiries in the end.
At the start of the period, in person they recorded approxiamtely 900 requests. This is followed by around 800 requests by letter or email, which is almost double the figure for telephone ones.
Thereafter, face-to-face requests dropped slightly then rised gradually to 1600 toward the end of the period. The opposite pattern can be witnessed in the letter or email sector, which saw a dramatic drop from around 800 to half of it. Meanwhile, requests by telephone experienced a significant increase to 1800, overtook face-to-face requests and stood at the top.
