The maps presents the changes in the town of Hillingford between 2000 and 2015. Overall, the town changed almost completely and its west side is now fully built up. It is noticeable that most of the nature has been “destroyed”.
The most visible change that we can see is that the woods were chopped down to build a new playground with flats, tennis courts, restaurants, shops, and cafe. More than that the rode has extended along the coast. Some other changes that can be seen, while comparing two maps are the reconstruction of the market into the supermarket and a conversion of housing into the bed & breakfast.
Furthermore, a new train station was built in the north-east. In addition, a country house transformed into the hotel and housing was built besides it. However, something in the town has not changed at all. The beach, the harbour, and the sea stayed the same and have not experienced any changes.
