Whether environmental concern is a matter of debate, with some saying what humans are doing to ease the problems is of zero effect, and others arguing people should not stop contributing to the improvement of surroundings. In this essay, I will discuss both views and agree with the latter.
It’s understandable why some people think environmental development is not within humans’ grasp. Promoting the idea of environmental conservation needs a great amount of financial support. However, there are some people taking all these efforts for granted, which eventually leads others to come to an idea that people can never achieve environmental sustainability. For example, all around cities, it’s common to see different trash bins for specific groups of waste, but they are filled with all types of litter mixed. Moreover, the earth’s population is increasing, which means more trash is about to be disposed of, so people are worried that all their attempts might be useless.
On the other hand, there are still some who keep taking care of their surroundings. This is firstly because of the fear of the future. They think if a sense of collectiveness grows in society, the ecological problems will be solved at some degrees. In addition, this behaviour may pass through generations as a tradition and future youths will have a better circumstance.
In conclusion, although some people do not care about nature because they assume such attempts may be a waste of money, others believe collectiveness makes a difference in the way of ecological protections and future generations will have a better ecosystem.
